RAF Coningsby
RAF Coningsby is an active Royal Air Force station in Lincolnshire, England. During World War II it was a major Bomber Command station — initially flying Wellingtons and then the Handley Page Halifax on night raids over Germany — and later became a Fighter Command base during the Battle of Britain. After the war it transitioned to the V-bomber force, and today it is famous as the home of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, which maintains and flies historic aircraft in memory of those who served in the Second World War.
